Lynntech Inc., a rapidly growing technology development company, is seeking a System Administrator & DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. This full-time position will focus on System Administration with a secondary focus on Software Development and DevOps. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our development environments, managing system architecture, and overseeing CI/CD pipelines. The ability to work with IT and take initiative in resource provisioning is crucial.
System Administration
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage user permissions and access controls.
- Assist in the design, standardization, and implementation of system architectures (e.g., folder structure and resource allocation).
- Handle package and environment management, including updates and software installations.
- Maintain systems and perform regular software updates.
- Coordinate with IT to ensure hardware and network infrastructure meets group needs.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Manage Git repositories and ensure coding best practices (e.g., using code linting, formatting, and testing tools).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.
- Oversee unit test development and maintenance.
- Provision and manage virtual machines (VMs) as needed for project requirements.
Resource Management
- Allocate and manage resources, including CI runners, package servers, and internal communication tools.
- Take initiative to propagate best practices and processes across other teams, such as our embedded systems teams.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration and network configuration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in one or more modern coding languages and familiarity with modern coding standards.
- Ability to provision and manage VM resources (e.g., Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Desired Skills
- Experience in software development and unit testing.
- Familiarity with embedded systems or hardware workflows.
- Ability to take the lead in implementing and propagating process improvements across different teams.

Due to contractual requirements, the position is open to US Citizens or permanent residents only. Work is conducted on-site (in College Station, TX). The position is full-time (40 hrs/week), flexibly scheduled within standard business hours.
